Donald Horne Institute presentation materials

Monday, May 18th, 2009

As mentioned on the phone, I am looking for a gifted artist to produce three
versions of a power-point show about the Donald Horne Institute at UC.

2 minutes
5 minutes
15 minutes.

What we want is design, flow, narrative, images, movie, music, voiceover.

Has to be sufficiently to corporate to fit the UC style, but also free,
elegant and gorgeous to meet our own shy hopes.

References to graffiti and garage bands will be mandatory.

Happy to pay the agreed rate for the job.
(No rate yet negotiated, so James is just indicating that he understands that the work will cost)

James.

Logo design – Faculty of Health Clinic

Friday, May 8th, 2009

The Faculty of Health Clinic provides Allied Health Services to the Community of Canberra from it’s location within the Faculty of Health at UC. It has been operating for one year, but does not yet have a logo to identify it clearly – it operates as an independent entity to the university, so the uni logo cannot be used.

They want a quick turn around on this, so please make contact asap if you have any interest in this job.

CBMCS Logo design ($500)

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

CBMCS is the research Centre for Biomedical, Molecular and Chemical Science at the University of Canberra.

We are looking for a NEW logo for the Centre for Biomedical, Molecular and Chemical Sciences (CBMCS) and we want a UC student to design it for us!

Prizes
Submit your logo design by June, and you might find yourself $500 richer.

See this PDF for full brief: CBMCS logo brief

UPDATE

I asked Maryanne Simpson about the consultancy class working on it as a job rather than a competition and this is her reply:

“I am happy for you to give the project to the GD consultancy class.
This seems to be our best possible option as the Director of CBMCS,
Suresh Mahalingam, is keen to keep things moving forward and the sooner
we have a suitable logo the more we can achieve.”

So, please organise a delegation to see her asap about the work.

Gallery of Australian Design

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009

The area formerly known as the School of Design & Architecture is negotiating to take over the former Portrait Gallery space down on the lake foreshore. It is to be known as the Gallery of Australian Design (I think) and all of the branding for this enterprise needs to be completed(!)

Annabelle Pegrum is the person that interested parties need to liaise with:
02 6201 5054 in 7A27
Annabelle.Pegrum@canberra.edu.au

The job requires consideration of the physical gallery space (signage, frontage, environmental graphics) and 2D branding.

I strongly encourage you to get a delegation together soon and approach Annabelle for further info on what is required at this stage of the project. This is a BIG opportunity so it might be worth working in small teams or as a group.
